As you can imagine, life at the Inn has been pretty strange since the onset of the Covid-19 virus. The Inn shut down mid March and just re-opened to a limited number of guests on May 18. We’ve used this down time to do some… landscaping, improvements and repairs and these will continue throughout the summer. We are now operating following the recommendations of the CDC and our local health department. We have a contactless check in process and fortunately one or our long time housekeepers also works at the local hospital so she has been trained in proper cleaning and disinfecting tactics and she will train our other staff. We had already purchased new bedding so that every layer can be washed after every check out and we are watching the reservation calendar and keeping rooms empty at least one day before you check in and one day after you check out. Our goal is to make sure you are comfortable staying here and we follow all the rules of social distancing which is why breakfast and desserts are now dropped off at your room or served on the front porch.
Despite only being in phase II of re-opening, there is still lots to do in the area. Many of our great restaurants are open for take out or curb side pick up and offer beer, wine and cocktails to go. The State and City Parks are open for hiking and biking. The Cornell Botanic Gardens are a great place for a long walk and many of the wineries are open for bottle purchases and should be open for tastings soon.
We will continue to make adjustments to how we operate in accordance with the recommended health and safey measures and we are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our operations.
